Aquarium Bubble Lamp

May 5, 2012 - I'm breeding bettas, and you need light so the male can see if any fry fall out of the bubble-nest. I want to use a table lamp instead, but unsure as I heard it could heat the water too much. Will this happen if I keep it at a distance? My bulb is one of those energy-savers and is 15W. May 10, 2012 - my beta keeps his tail up now all the time that hes in there but the bubbles i think bother him because i takes up alot of space and the food just sinks to the bottom like can i turn of the bubbles cause i herd they dont need the air i think the bubbles are just so it looks cool and i still have the old tank incase this one isn't good for...
